Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

Effective date: March 14, 2026

WorldTimePlanner is a timezone planning and meeting scheduling app. This page explains how WorldTimePlanner collects, uses, shares, retains, and deletes data when you use the web app or Android app.

This policy is intended to support both our website and Google Play listing. Ads on the website may be served through Google AdSense. Ads in the Android app may be served through Google AdMob. If our data practices change materially, we will update this page before the new practice goes live.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share it for unrelated commercial purposes. We only share data with service providers and advertising partners as described in this policy to operate the website, the app, and advertising features.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect the following categories of data:

  • Account information, such as your email address, authentication provider, display name, and profile photo when you sign in.
  • User-provided content and preferences, such as selected cities, home city, clock layouts, display preferences, meeting details, and timezone scheduling inputs.
  • Technical and diagnostic data, such as IP address, browser or device type, app or browser version, timestamps, and app interaction data used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • Advertising-related data collected by Google AdSense, Google AdMob, or their partners may include cookies, device identifiers such as the Android advertising ID or app set ID, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad performance data, and ad interaction events.

2. How we use information

We use data for the following purposes:

  • To provide core scheduling, timezone comparison, and account features.
  • To save your preferences and synchronize them to your account.
  • To authenticate users and keep the service secure.
  • To measure usage, diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
  • To display and measure ads through Google AdSense on the web and Google AdMob in the app.
  • To respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.

3. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable under UK, EEA, or similar privacy laws, we rely on:

  • Contractual necessity, to provide the service you request.
  • Legitimate interests, to secure, operate, and improve the app.
  • Consent, where required for personalized advertising or other non-essential tracking.
  • Legal obligations, where retention or disclosure is required by law.

4. Advertising disclosures

The website may display ads using Google AdSense, and the Android app may display ads using Google AdMob. Google and its partners may use cookies, identifiers, and similar technologies to serve, limit, measure, and improve ads. This may include personalized ads where allowed by law and by your choices.

  • If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we will request consent for ad personalization where required before serving relevant web or app ad experiences.
  • If you are in a U.S. state with applicable privacy rights, we may provide a privacy choice flow or honor eligible requests as required by law.
  • For app advertising, you can change device-level ad settings, including resetting or deleting your Android advertising ID, in your device settings.
  • You can also manage Google ad personalization through your Google account settings, browser controls, or consent flows where available.

If a law treats certain ad-tech disclosures as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising activity, you can contact us to exercise the rights available to you in your region.

5. Third parties and data sharing

We share data only as needed to run the service and ads, including with:

  • Google Firebase for authentication, hosting, storage, and database services.
  • Google Cloud Platform for infrastructure and related technical services.
  • Google AdSense, Google AdMob, and advertising partners for ad delivery, fraud prevention, and measurement.
  • Professional advisers, regulators, or authorities when required by law.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

  • Account-linked settings and saved scheduling data are generally kept while your account remains active.
  • If you delete your account, we begin the deletion process for your account profile and associated saved app data.
  • Limited logs or backup records may be retained for a reasonable period where needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance.

7. Account deletion and data deletion

You can delete your account from inside the app by opening the account menu, choosing Your Account, and then selecting Delete. This starts the removal of your app account and associated saved data.

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by emailing hello@worldtimeplanner.ai from the email address associated with your account. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest, including the security controls provided by Google Firebase and Google Cloud. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent for personalized advertising where consent applies.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local regulator, including the UK ICO where relevant.

To exercise these rights, contact hello@worldtimeplanner.ai.

10. International transfers

Because we use Google services and internet infrastructure that may operate in multiple countries, your data may be processed outside your home jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards provided by our service providers.

11. Terms of use

  • You may use WorldTimePlanner only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the service or other users.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for how you use meeting recommendations, exports, or scheduling outputs.
  • The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  • We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including advertising features, to maintain or improve the app.
